The part of Spades that causes arguments is not the tricks, it is the arithmetic afterwards. Enter the hand and this settles contracts, each nil, and the bag count that has been building all match.

How the calculator applies the rules

Each partnership's non-nil bids add into one contract.
A failed nil bidder's tricks are removed from the contract count and become bags.
A made contract scores ten per bid trick plus one per extra trick; a set contract loses ten per bid trick.
Each nil is settled separately at the selected value.
Bags are added to the carried total, every crossed threshold is charged, and the remainder carries forward.

The result folds the point-per-bag into the contract line, so a set hand that also carried a failed nil shows one net figure rather than the separate minus-60 and plus-2 the worked examples spell out.

Match scores and table rules lock once a hand is applied, so the bag count is always measured against the threshold it was earned under.
