Euchre trump chart

Name a trump suit and the chart rebuilds the deck around it, bowers included. Add a led card and your own hand to settle a follow-suit argument in one look.

1. Trump suit
2. The lead (optional)

Choose the card that was led to see which of your cards may legally follow it. Leave it on “No lead yet” to read the ranking only.

3. Your hand (optional)

Tick up to five cards. The checker marks each one legal or blocked against the lead above and names the card that would win.

How the chart decides

  1. The Jack of trump becomes the highest card; the Jack of the other suit of the same color becomes the second highest.
  2. That second Jack is treated as trump everywhere else, so it no longer answers a lead of its printed suit.
  3. You must follow the effective led suit if you hold any card of it.
  4. If you hold none, every card in your hand is legal, including a trump.
  5. The highest trump wins the trick; with no trump, the highest card of the led suit wins.
