Bid Whist scorekeeper
Six free books, a doubling rule, and a match that can be lost from either direction. Enter the hand and this settles it, then carries the match forward.
How the calculator applies the rules
- The contract needs six books plus the bid.
- Count the bidder's kitty discard as one of those books. Only twelve are played from the hands, so a count taken from the table alone is one short.
- A made contract scores every book above six, not merely the bid.
- A set contract loses the bid value.
- No Trump doubles the result unless you switch it off.
- Boston replaces that multiplier with four rather than compounding to eight.
- Only the bidding partnership's score changes.
